Utorrent move downloaded files
· I am trying to figure out how to move a torrent location (after it downloads) to another spot and start the seed process again without it trying to download the entire file again. The driver behind this is that I use a seedbox to download the larger files and upload them faster to achieve a ratio. The issue is that some of the files don't. · Here's how to move your downloaded files: 1) Create the new folder that you want to move your files to. 2) Go to utorrent and select the files that you want to move. 3) Right click - advanced - set download location. 4) A window will pop up, navigate to the folder that you want your files to be in and hit "Select Folder". · A new dialog will pop up asking you where to download your torrent file to. Navigate to the new location and just click Select Folder. uTorrent will automatically move the files for you to the new location. You may have to wait a little bit if a large amount of Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins.
BitTorrent etiquette dictates that once you've downloaded files, you also seed them to help others' downloads go quickly. If you need to move or rename your download, everything's thrown off. I see the settings to move bltadwin.rut file itself, but I'm not looking to move bltadwin.rut file, I'm looking to move the downloaded files from the chosen download location to another folder once the download has completed. If I move something manually, or even if I ad an already downloaded file (which have since been moved to a new location), and I set the download-location to the NEW location in the download, it STILL wants to download the file again - it doesn't help to do a recheck - for some reason, it doesn't see the file, even though I SELECT THE FILE.
I have used the uTorrent client using default settings for a number of months and now I have realised that all bltadwin.rut files are in the root uTorrent installation directory. I would like to clean this up and have tried the setting "Location bltadwin.ruts - bltadwin.ruts for finished jobs to:". The problem seeding is when uT completes a torrent the AMC script will rename and move the file in one of four ways: move This will literally move the content from your seeding folder to your organized folder, you cannot seed unless you do a "Relocate" within uT (this gets really old when you have thousands of files). Open the torrent file with your torrent client. Since you've performed step 1, you should get a dialog box that shows the file (s) inside the torrent and where you want to save those files. Browse to where you moved the files (on the external hard drive), and let the client "check" that you have all of the file (s).
